Privacy Policy
About this policy
Biodata for Marriage (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates weddingbiodata.net.
We designed the marriage biodata maker so that the personal information you enter into the maker can be processed on your own device rather than being stored in our application database.
This Privacy Policy explains what information stays on your device, what information we or our service providers may receive, and the choices available to you.
1. Information you enter into the biodata maker
The maker may ask you for information such as your name, date of birth, education, occupation, family information, contact details, horoscope or community information, and a photograph.
The biodata details and photograph you enter into the maker are designed to be processed locally in your browser. They are not intentionally uploaded to or stored in our application database.
Your browser may temporarily keep information in memory or local browser storage so that previews, editing and downloads can work.
If you clear your browser data, use private browsing, change devices, or remove site storage, locally saved information may be lost.
Downloaded PDF, JPG, PNG and Word files are stored wherever you choose to save them. After downloading or sharing a file, you are responsible for controlling where that copy goes.
2. Technical information
Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically receive limited technical information when you visit the site.
This can include your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, date and time of requests, referring information, and technical or security logs.
This information is separate from the personal biodata details you type into the maker.
We may use technical information to operate the website, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, maintain security and understand technical performance.
3. Cookies and browser storage
The website currently uses a language-preference cookie so that it can remember your selected language.
The maker may also use browser storage for functionality such as maintaining your temporary workspace or preview.
These technologies are used to make the website function and remember choices on your device.
If we later introduce advertising, analytics, payments or other services that use additional cookies or tracking technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices or consent mechanisms required by applicable law.
4. Information you send to us
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you choose to provide.
Please avoid sending completed biodatas, identification documents or other sensitive information when they are not necessary for support.
We use support communications to answer your request, investigate technical problems, prevent abuse, and maintain records where reasonably necessary.
5. Service providers
We use third-party service providers to operate the website.
For example, the website is hosted using Vercel, which may process ordinary network and technical request information necessary to deliver and secure the site.
Other providers may process information if you contact us through an email service or if additional site features are introduced later.
We do not intentionally send the biodata form contents or uploaded portrait from the maker to our application servers simply to create your biodata.
6. How long information is kept
Biodata information stored locally in your browser remains under the control of your browser and device.
Technical logs and support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, support, legal obligations and normal business operations. Service providers may have their own retention practices.
7. Sharing of information
We may disclose information that we actually hold to service providers that help us operate the website, when required by law, to protect the security or rights of users or the service, or in connection with a legitimate restructuring or transfer of the service.
Your locally processed biodata does not become public through Biodata for Marriage merely because you create it.
You decide who receives the files you download and share.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights concerning personal information that we actually hold, such as requesting access, correction or deletion.
You can contact support@weddingbiodata.net with a privacy request.
Keep in mind that we cannot access, delete or recover biodata information that exists only inside your browser or in a file saved on your own device because we do not possess that information.
For EU users where GDPR applies, transparency rules require information about the controller, processing purposes, recipients and related matters. India’s DPDP Act similarly establishes notice and data-principal rights as its relevant provisions come into force.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to design and operate the service securely.
However, no website, browser, device or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should carefully review the personal information included in a biodata before sharing it and avoid including sensitive information that is unnecessary for the first matrimonial introduction.
10. Information about other people
You may use the maker to create a biodata for a son, daughter, relative or another person.
If you enter another person’s personal information or photograph, you are responsible for making sure you have appropriate permission or authority to use and share it.
11. Children
The service is intended for people using marriage biodata tools for legitimate matrimonial purposes. We do not knowingly encourage children to submit personal information to us.
12. Third-party websites
Our guides may contain links to external websites. We do not control the privacy or security practices of those websites, and their own policies apply when you visit them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, our technology, our service providers or applicable requirements change.
